16/06/09 - Departure

We left today! I woke up early as my sisters banged around the house, getting ready for school. I tried to sleep longer but failed, so I took a long shower. After eating Frosted Mini Wheats for breakfast, I bummed around the house, chatting with my parents until it was time to go to Radey's. My dad drove me over, and Mairead's father took us to the airport.

We went through the United Airlines queue (We're taking Air Canada), and through the security checkpoint queue. Apparently, TSA officials are not United Airlines CSRs, so we had to go get our actual boarding passes back at the front of the airport. Oops. I don't know what the machine printed out for us, but apparently they weren't boarding passes.

A first for me: The plane we took to Vancouver was a prop!

We're currently sitting in the Vancouver airport, waiting for our 5:20 flight to Heathrow.
